Dhruv Sood, Becky Brauer, and Husein Rahemtulla are the three entrepreneurs behind the Vancouver-founded meal kit delivery service that now operates across British Columbia and Alberta.

One of our customers, Irene L., wrote a Fresh Prep review on Yelp. “We have been customers for 5 months. Service has always been timely and I like the online flexibility of changing delivery days or quantities. Delivery staff are courteous. We have always received what we ordered and there have been no missing ingredients. We really like the occasional partnerships with local products and occasional added samples: e.g. Cricket’s Chocolate/Cricket Meal bar and Salt Spring Onion and Thyme jam. Their meals have renewed my interest in cooking. It also saves us money eating out and there is no waste.”
Meal Kits Canada recently published that customers of our meal kit service “are generally happier with their service than customers of other meal prep companies.” The meal kit delivery review platform discovered that the proportion of positive Fresh Prep reviews is higher than the industry average, while the proportion of negative reviews is lower.

Fresh Prep customer Ali S. took to Google Reviews to rate our meal kit delivery service, saying. “Amazing recipes and delicious meals with the easy convenience of being delivered right to your door. Cannot say enough good things not only about the food but the company and customer service as well. Had a small issue once and was able to call and be connected to a human being instantly and have the issue dissolved above my expectations.”
Another Google reviewer, Lyndsay de J, wrote the following Fresh Prep review: “Their recipes are amazing. So happy with Fresh Prep – especially their recycling program, and that they have vegan meals. Customer service has been wonderful too! Thank you Fresh Prep for the great job you’re doing.”

Convenience
Each week, customers can select from 10 delectable and diverse meal choices. At least 50% of our menu is vegetarian or vegan every week and there are also gluten-aware and dairy-aware options.
Meal kit ingredients are pre-cut and pre-portioned, eliminating many steps of the cooking process – great news for those who want to reduce time and tears chopping onions.

It’s sustainable
Josh from The Quick Dish Review explained that as well as convenience, he was particularly impressed by our commitment to sustainability. “As a certified B Corp, Fresh Prep made it their mission to do whatever possible to ensure that they provide a great product to their customers and positively impact both the local community and the environment.
“While researching meal kits in general, I’ve come across countless potential customers who’ve voiced their concerns about single-use plastics and waste issues in meal kits. And while many of the top companies all claim to have little waste and primarily recyclable materials, in my experience, none compare to Fresh Prep and the fact that you can return everything, with the exception of meat packaging.”
Fresh Prep have recently introduced their Zero Waste Kit, a reusable container that eliminates many meal packaging materials, including single use plastic. When a meal doesn’t come in a Zero Waste Kit, it’s packaged in a compostable paper bag with some ingredients in soft plastic which can be rinsed and returned before being recycled with our local recycling partner Urban Impact, with 100% of plastics diverted from landfills.
