Crispy Panko French Toast

with maple syrup and a fruit salad

Ingredients

  • Country Style Bread
  • Panko Breadcrumbs
  • Maple Syrup
  • Liquid Egg
  • Milk 2%
  • Spice Mix (cinnamon powder,brown sugar)
  • Strawberry Jam
  • Orange(s)
  • Kiwi
  • Red Grapes

1. Peel the orange and the kiwi. Cut into pieces. Rinse the grapes.

2. Mix the egg with the milk, the brown sugar mix and a pinch of salt.

3. Mix the fruits with the jam to make a salad. Kids could participate to this step.

4. Put the panko on a plate. Dip the slices of bread in the egg mixture then coat with the panko. Heat a drizzle of oil or butter in a pan over medium-high heat. Bake the slices of bread for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the panko is golden and crispy.

5. Serve the french toast with maple syrup and the fruit salad. Bon appétit!
