Salisbury Steak

ground beef patty with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and green peas

  • Ground Beef
  • Green Peas
  • White Medium Mushroom
  • Fresh Italian Parsley
  • Demi-Glace
  • Yellow Baby Potato(es)
  • Yellow Onion(s)

1. Cut the potatoes into small cubes. Place in a pot and fill with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook 12-15 minutes until tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk to taste. Add salt and pepper. Keep warm.

2. Thinly slice the onion and the mushrooms. Put the demi-glace in 1 2P | 1.5 3P cups of water. Chop the parsley.

3. Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Make 1 patty per person. Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan.

4. Add the onion and mushrooms to the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes. Add salt and pepper. Add the demi-glace and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium, put the patties back in the pan and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

5. Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Cook the green peas 1-2 minutes. Drain. Mix with butter, the parsley to taste, salt and pepper

6. Serve the patties with the sauce, the mashed potatoes and the peas. For some kids, mushrooms are not attractive. Il may take several expositions before they want to give them a taste, but don’t give up, they can smell them, touch them and even cook them themselves. Bon appétit!
